A power operational amplifier needs good cooling. Below is an extensive overview of heatsinks, suitable for each of the different Apex amplifiers and available in different thermal ratings. All are made of aluminum to provide high levels of conduction.
Due to the complexity of thermal design, especially when reactive loads are being driven, it is often helpful to utilize temperature measurements after the electrical design has been completed.
