2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth
TOP-electronics 2.4 GHz antenna range provides flexibility for all your requirements and includes PCB versions, as well as internal and external-mounting models.
2.4 GHz was originally allocated as an ISM band in 1985 and is such benefits from being an unlicensed band (was historically colloquially known as the junk band). This is because it is very close to the frequency of Microwave ovens (2.45 GHz) and devices had to be designed to cope with the associated noise.
It has however emerged as the most important unlicensed ISM band with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee as well as many other devices operating within the allocated 70-80Mhz of spectrum.
For Wi-Fi this band represents typically three 20 MHz channels.
