4G modules

4G, short for Fourth Generation, is a wireless communication technology. 4G brought substantial improvements in data transmission speeds, network reliability, and overall performance. This enables seamless streaming, faster downloads, and improved real-time communication. The 4G networks offer reduced latency. Making them suitable for applications that demand real-time responsiveness, such as online gaming, video conferencing, and autonomous vehicles. 4G networks are based on an all-IP (Internet Protocol) infrastructure, facilitating easy integration with other internet services and platforms. Enhanced encryption and security protocols make 4G networks more secure for data transmission and communication.

LTE, or Long-Term Evolution, is a standard for wireless broadband communication that is the foundation of 4G networks. LTE-Advanced (LTE-A), sometimes referred to as 4.5G, represents an evolution of 4G LTE technology. It introduces several advanced features that further enhance network performance and capabilities. LPWA – Low Power Wide Area - IoT modules connect devices requiring low power consumption, long range and high security. This makes LPWA modules ideal for applications with low data requirements, which demand low running costs but may require many units, or those that operate in remote locations. These must be powered reliably over long periods and with minimal human intervention.

Applications are: asset tracking, industrial routers, wireless POS terminals, fleet management, industrial PDAs, digital signage, security systems, smart metering and smart grid, environmental monitoring and more.
