Fortior FU7512 – Dual-Core Motor Control MCU for Advanced BLDC and PMSM Applications
The Fortior FU7512 is a high-performance motor control MCU designed for efficient and precise control of BLDC and PMSM motors. Its dual-core architecture combines a RISC-V processor with a dedicated Motor Engine (ME) core, enabling hardware-accelerated Field-Oriented Control (FOC) for both sensored and sensorless motor applications.
The integrated FOC and CORDIC hardware significantly reduce software complexity while improving control accuracy, dynamic response, and overall system efficiency.
Combined with an external MOSFET power stage, the FU7512 provides a highly flexible platform for a wide range of motor drive topologies and power levels.
The FU7512 also incorporates high-speed ADCs, programmable gain amplifiers, comparators, DACs, timers, DMA, and communication interfaces including SPI, I²C, UART, LIN, CAN FD, and BiSS, minimizing external component requirements and simplifying system design.
With built-in support for single-, dual-, and triple-shunt current sensing, power factor correction (PFC), and advanced motor control algorithms, the FU7512 is well suited for applications requiring high efficiency, low acoustic noise, and precise speed and torque control. Typical applications include power tools, white goods, smart home appliances, robotics, industrial automation, IT equipment, and automotive electronics.
