2.4 GHz ZigBee-ready and 802.15.4-ready ARM Cortex-M3 module with integrated antenna
This is a 2.4 GHz wireless module integrating a cutting-edge 32 bit ARM Cortex-M3 core and a state-of-art radio transceiver. The advanced ARM architecture makes easy the development of IEEE 802.15.4 / ZigBee / 6LoWPAN low-power applications to add wireless connectivity and multi-hop networking into existing products. Notable features include:
-32 bit ARM Cortex M3 with 512 kB FLASH and 32 kB of SRAM (TI CC2538)
-up to +20 dBm (100 mW) RF output power
-integrated PCB antenna or U.FL connector
The EMB-Z2538PA ships programmed with Embit firmware which allows to employ the module as a simple, ready-to-use modem (using AT-like commands over UART; see EBI protocol page for more information). If custom applications needs to be developed, EMB-Z2538PA-EVK provides all tools required to download custom firmware on the module.
The EMB-Z2538PA modules ship programmed with EBI-802.15.4 which allows the customer to use the modules as a simple, ready-to-use modem (using AT-like commands over UART; see EBI protocol page for more information). The evaluation kit EMB-Z2538PA-EVK is strongly suggested to customers willing to develop their own firmware applications, since the kit provides all tools required to download a custom firmware on the module.
